Scoil Ui Mhuiri has had another great victory in Europe! Eoghan McCabe, who last week took part in an international entrepreneurial competition in Austria, has succeeded in winning a bronze award for Excellence. It’s the second year in a row Scoil Ui Mhuiri candidates have come back with jewellery – last year Tadhg O’Brien won a gold award. The celebrated ceremony, the European YouthStart Entrepreneurship awards, is initiated by the European Entrepreneurial Organisation and are held in different EU countries each year. This year Eoghan travelled to Kitzbuhel in Austria along with his family and his teacher, Ms Farrell.
Eoghan won on the strength of his “Home Runs” that raised significant sums of money for local charities. As a result of that he was awarded a Special Recognition award from Foroige Network for Teaching Entrepreneurship (NFTE) – not to mention a Louth Garda award in 2022 as well. His Home Runs raised money for Williams Syndrome Ireland, Ardee Hospice and Drogheda Special Olympics. We at Scoil Ui Mhuiri couldn’t be prouder of Eoghan and his achievements. Well done indeed.
