The Leaving Certificate Vocational Programme (LCVP)

The LCVP is an enhanced Leaving Certificate programme. Students who have specified subject combinations of subjects (VSG’s) qualify to engage with the  two LCVP Link Modules, Enterprise Education and Preparation for the World of Work. The LCVP therefore combines the established Leaving Certificate with the Link Modules. Active Learning Methodologies are the key to the success of this programme. There are many benefits of taking the LCVP for students whether they intend going to college, taking up employment or indeed setting up their own business. A distinction in this programme is the equivalent of a grade ‘C’ on a higher level paper and is therefore very valuable for students when calculating points for college.
